RUNWAY: DSquared2 SS16

DSquared2's surf themed Spring/Summer 2016 collection had a plethora of layers, from Native American patterned ponchos to the most notable layer: tattoo bodysuits. Denim is one of the Dean & Dan Caten's biggest sellers and there was plenty to choose from ranging from oversized and baggy to cowboy inspired. As entertaining as the show was, the gimmicks utilized during its fashion shows have grown a little stale, with little to no consistent view point from season to season. If consumers want dissonant collections with no connection to a central aesthetic or view point, there are plenty of much cheaper alternatives from H&M to Gap. A Dsquared2 label or the dream to look as smoldering as the models can only go so far for so long.
