RUNWAY: Giorgio Armani SS16
Much like its younger and more athletic-minded sibling, Emporio Armani, the
Giorgio Armani collection's stalwart designers have finally become the new norm in fashion. One of the biggest trends overtaking menswear the past season or so has been fluid layers and Armani's stark and often Asian inspired tailoring shines through. There were boxy pleated trousers like one may see in Japan, double breasted jackets roomy enough to layer one or two paper thin shirts or a shirt and a vest, both of which Armani showcased a multitude. Fashion trends are cyclical and Armani has stuck to his guns for awhile and it has paid off since he's been slowly perfecting his aesthetic all these years and the trends have finally circled their way back to his expertise.
