RUNWAY: John Varvatos FW14

Few bands could ever single handedly encompass an entire genre of music but that's exactly what KISS does. The glam rock band was one of the first and the most famous. The band fronts the SS14 campaign and made a cameo at John Varvatos' FW14 show during Milan Fashion Week where rock and roll was the theme, with a healthy dose of face paint to commemorate the legendary band's presence. Rock and roll is Varvatos' niche and he excelled in it today with a dark collection that focused on texture and fabric to add some glam, like croc-embossed sleeves to furry accents. The all-white finale was a great reprieve from the dour blacks and greys earlier in the collection.
