RUNWAY: Alexander Wang SS12

Alexander Wang's first full mens line debuted this month, a full six months after he won the GQ/CFDA Best New American Designer Award. For Spring/Summer 2012, the buzzworthy Wang showed a dark and military infused collection with a few color blocked pieces. The collection was modern and had Wang's edgy look but didn't seem to offer anything different than what we could find in other design lines. It will definitely sell because of the designer and its name recognition but the clothes lacked that je nais se quoi.
