Just days after showing his Fall/Winter 2012 menswear collection, Gustavo Lins showed his Haute Couture collection, Atelier, during Paris' three-day long Haute Couture Fashion Week. The Brazilian designer opted to show six menswear looks during the couture show, showcasing bespoke suit separates with silken scarves with fur detailing and dramatic outerwear.

French couturier Jean Paul Gaultier dedicated his Spring/Summer 2012 Haute Couture collection to the late singer Amy Winehouse. Rather than dwelling on the sadness of her death, Gaultier celebrated Winehouse's style and spirit with a mostly-uplifting couture collection, with a cast of models that included Andrej Pejic, who wore a multi-colored floral dress with fringe detail.

Calvin Klein's White Label collection for Spring/Summer 2012 showed more skin than fashion, much to the pleasure of all. The menswear pieces showed a range of colorful underwear offerings but also showed equally colorful and minimalist sportswear pieces, like a pair of salmon pants.

After canceling Tokyo Fashion Week FW11 due to the earthquake and tsunami that ravaged Japan last March, it came back in full force for SS12. Mastermind Japan ended the Spring/Summer 2012 season with a bang with the brand's signature coats with skull and bones insignia. Though it wasn't all doom and gloom at the show, there were also tons of red plaids and coats with fringe and even some army fatigues.

The 1990s reference in Discovered's Spring/Summer 2012 collection were rife, such as the homage to 90s fit (oversized and baggy) to the youth culture that dominated that era (such as the rise of hip hop to pop culture to the grunge movement made famous by Marc Jacobs for Perry Ellis). Though our favorite looks were the more demure pieces such as the color blocked jacket worn over a paper thin windbreaker with loose knit shorts.

Phenomanon's latest collection started out with nautical references, seen in duochromatic looks featuring a shade of blue that's followed from Milan to New York and now to Tokyo. It wasn't all sea-wear that was offered, the strongest point of the collection came towards the end with a brillant mix of shapes, textures and colos. We particularly liked the outerwear, like the colorblocked anorak.
