RUNWAY: John Varvatos SS12

John Varvatos showed one of his strongest collections in recent memory today. The rich fabrics complemented Varvatos' aesthetic for Spring/Summer 2012. Though rock n' roll will always be John Varvatos' thing, military references were strong this season and it paid off well with the collection having a distinct look that differentiates itself from previous Varvatos collections. Matching the military with super soft, flowy tops and summer scarves played with the idea of mixing the masculine and feminine. Styling was key so each look wouldn't be too masculine or too feminine and it was styled perfectly so each look teetered back and forth between the two; a truly great collection from John Varvatos.
