RUNWAY: Roberto Cavalli SS12
It's been said that
Roberto Cavalli never saw an animal skin he didn't like and we're glad that he didn't disappointed with this collection for Spring/Summer 2012, as a few animal prints were seen. The collection, however, was quite
tame, at least relative to previous Cavalli collections. For Spring/Summer 2012, it was all about 1970s disco, a trend that has transitioned from Cavalli's FW11 to SS12 runway. Electric blue was a key color, seen in the first look, worn by
Jon Kortajarena (who rarely does runway), all the way to the end of the collection, with a lapel accented with blue, worn by
Jonathan Marquez. As previously said, the collection was pretty tame for Cavalli standards but it will still please his core clients and fans while maybe intriguing others who like a little
pizzazz in their wardrobe but were a bit put off with the level of
pizzazz Cavalli is known for using; not any longer we say!
