RUNWAY: Astrid Andersen FW19
Astrid Andersen, the designer known for her 90s-centric, hyper-masculine collections that borrowed heavily from basketball, grew up a bit this collection. The clothing appeared more adult - though definitely not business casual if one is wondering, though there some great grown up coats like an oversized houndstooth. There were still echos of hip hop culture via the fur coats and nods to earlier collections, although the focus seemed to be on graphic patterns and prints, with knits also standing out. Technically it was a strong collection and will likely resonate with the same loyal fanbase she's attracted.
