RUNWAY: Versace FW18

It's been a little over 20 years since the murder of Gianni Versace; there's a new fictionalized mini-series from Ryan Murphy about the designer's death. The Versace name is, once again, near the apex of the general public's lexicon. This served as the jumping off point for this maximalist collection that was definitely not made for wallflowers. The soundtrack hinted at the multi-decade long name-dropping that Versace has earned and the so-recognizable Medusa motif, tiger and zebra print, and polish gold accessories were everywhere, making this collection - like so many - an ode to the heyday of Versace and it's ever-lasting and timeless influence on the culture at large.
