RUNWAY: Moncler Gamme Bleu FW15

Thom Browne has seemingly run out of sports to inspire his latest collections for Moncler, named Moncler Gamme Bleu. It was back to equestrianism for FW15, with so many puffers there were barely enough models to wear them, or in this case, carry them. Checks, plaids, and zig zag patterns all made big impacts on the collection's busy looks from cropped and padded jackets to slim fitted pants, often times with a pattern that matched the top that appeared just above the left knee; what a smart way to encourage men to buy the whole outfit. Each look was complemented by a pair of knee-high equestrian boots with Browne's signature red, white and blue stripes. The strongest looks came in the most outlandish of designs, like a beaded boucle jacket with a hogwash of checks and stripes, while more demure looks like the formal jackets with matching bow tie were a nice alternative to the austere tailoring seen at Milan Fashion Week.
