RUNWAY: Public School FW14
What a difference a large infusion of cash and support from the
CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund has on a label. Not even 3 years into the start of the label,
Public School has gone from a static presentation that seemed to fall by the wayside at Milk Studio in New York to one of the most coveted seats, with the doyens of fashion sitting front row. For FW14, not only did Public School introduce womenswear, the label also honed on its look, with a sharp focus on monastic looks sprinkled amongst the monochromatic designs. Chic outerwear like a tweed bomber were exemplary while capes and utilitarian tailoring kept things interesting.
