RUNWAY: Duckie Brown SS13

Duckie Brown's fascination with proportion and plaid were alive and well in their latest collection. Save for the human-sized collars and other props used, the collection was quite tamed for the New York-based label. Their silhouette was wide and flowy; rather than showing the military-themed clothing so favored by many the last few seasons, the duo opted for a fresher take on menswear that teetered between dandy-ism and bohemian. Their signature label is, without a doubt, an exaggerated collection to evoke a statement while their upcoming collection for Perry Ellis next Tuesday is sure to be far more commercial. The highlight of this collection, of course, was the footwear, which is another collaboration, this time with Florsheim.
