RUNWAY: Perry Ellis SS12
Perry Ellis'
John Crocco presented an ethereal collection for Spring/Summer 2012 full of warm, sunbleached colors, with most of the pieces in linen, a true summer fabric staple. Linen is a fabric that doesn't hold its shape and wrinkles quite easily but those attributes also lend to the idea of easy dressing and with a mega-brand like Perry Ellis, ease is key since its customer demographic is much broader than other fashion week brands. We especially loved the color tri-color blocked sweaters that resembled a mountain landscape at dawn or sundown. In fact that very imagery was a key inspiration for Crocco and with that in mind, the collection becomes one coherent and cohesive collection. Another coup for Perry Ellis an John Crocco!
