RUNWAY: Umit Benan SS12

Umit Benan's luncheon presentation for Spring/Summer 2012 complemented Benan's aesthetic: never too slouchy or rigid but always very put together. Benan made a bit of fashion news recently when news of his director-ship over at Trussardi was announced. Back in March, Trussardi's Creative Director Milan Vukmirovic left, leaving that space vacant, Benan took over and will present his first Trussardi collection later this week. For his eponymous line though, it seemed to be on the same wave length as his other collections: sartorially quirky. Why would he change it, especially since his collections sell so well in Japan?
