RUNWAY: Rick Owens SS12

Rick Owens, the purveyor of gothic-chic, consistently presents beautiful clothes, many of which are draped. For Spring/Summer 2012, Owens, who owns a controlling interest in British designer Gareth Pugh, showed skirts on men, some were floor length while others were knee length. The skirts added a dimension to the Owens man that was elegant, softening Owens' usually very tough look. The designer has been playing with color and showed a bit of beige. Maybe next season he'll play with color a bit more and show a deep blue. In the end, Rick Owens adds another well tailored, well executed collection to his archive; and we would definitely wear the skirts.
