RUNWAY: Balenciaga SS12

Balenciaga's silhouette went undoubtedly leaner for SS12. The very forward-thinking brand showed some incredibly sleek silhouettes with strong shoulders, lean trousers and lots of cropped proportions, from pants to outerwear. Though the collection is futuristic in its fabrications, its references were clear: the 1960s; everything from stovetop trousers to graphic and color blocked sweaters were featured. We do love Balenciaga's outlook on the future for SS12, both in the abstract concept as well as its execution and look.
