RUNWAY: Viktor&Rolf FW11
The innovative duo behind
Viktor & Rolf showed a subdued collection for Fall/Winter 2011, starting off with basic pieces like a crisp white shirt and super-soft jersey sweats. Though the collection was subdued for the duo, their sense of humor came in the form of super-high collars, zipping up all the way to the bridge of the nose. The colors, aside from fire-engine red, as seen in the red suit with matching red shoes, were strong shades of black, grey, and white. The collection also had hints of the 1970s, which was a strong trend in Milan. The finale tuxedo, worn by
James Hampson, had bigger proportions with an emphasis on big shoulder pads.
