RUNWAY: Marc Jacobs FW11
Marc Jacobs always presents his eponymous menswear line in
Milan with a presentation and the clothes for Fall/Winter 2011 were interesting to say the least. The cashmere sweaters were treated so that they seemed worn and were pilled, something that cashmere owners try to avoid. Marc Jacobs never takes fashion too seriously so even though his clothes are beautifully made with great details, they always have a smirk about them that says, "don't try so hard when you're wearing me"; this can be seen by the coats with the shearling collars: beautifully cut and drapes the body wonderfully but is still fun and never pretentious. The collection was succinct, wearable and unassumingly chic.
