RUNWAY: Gianfranco Ferre FW11

After a corporate sponsor dropped out at the last minute, the recently acquired Ferre house opted for an intimate presentation of its FW11 collection. In the twenty-look collection, the proportions are fairly large as seen in many of the outwear pieces that seem to engulf the model. It is, however, a somber collection with a plethora of suits to choose from in varying fabrics from double-breasts in a blood-red color or pin-stripe two button hunter green. In an otherwise middle-of-the-road collection, the real interest lies in the dual-color outerwear featured towards the end of the collection, ramping up the interest-factor of a black or navy coat with a dash of red or green.
