RUNWAY: Emporio Armani FW11

Emporio Armani is Giorgio Armani's sportier line and in recent years, the collections have always kept a theme revolving around a particular sport. In past seasons, it has been BMX bikes and skiers. This year, Signor Armani pays tribute to golf and shows the theme early on by parading an army of hard bodied models off to the golf course to play....or be the caddy. In either case, the resulting collection is full of luxe fabrics in otherwise unassuming clothes, which is Signor Armani's signature. No matter the sport or theme, he still knows how to cut a beautiful suit and compliment it with a new coat, either in red lambskin leather or a cashmere-blend 3/4 overcoat.
