RUNWAY: Canali FW11

Canali knows how to cut a suit and it was no wonder that the collection was full of them in all shades and fabrics. It is hard to escape the double breasted suit on the runway recent years and though it has yet to bleed into the general public, many houses, like Canali, still offer it to the those whose sartorial needs require the occasional double breasted coat. Regardless of whether the suit was in wool, cashmere, or a blend, it was perfectly cut and tailored and also accessorized with lovely scarves (some placed to resemble an ascot). The scarves were never too large or struggling for attention or drawing attention away from the man or his outfit. But the biggest delight was the rainbow array of turtlenecks and suit separates in the middle of the show.
