RUNWAY: Giorgio Armani FW19
For months,
Giorgio Armani has billed his FW19 runway show the first co-ed show of his long career. Showing the week of Karl Lagerfeld's death, Armani's long tenure at his namesake label shines a light that some of the world's most respected and influential are mere mortals and they, too, will not be of this world for much longer. Nevertheless, the show must go on and the 84 year old designer opted for a blue-heavy collection - he called it "Rhapsody in Blue". There were a wide range of blue-tinged suiting, greyish-blue sportswear and a vibrant mix of textures from cashmeres to velvets.
