RUNWAY: Prada FW19

Prada's Fall/Winter 2019 collection was quite super: super sexy and super wearable. It also highlighted an undercurrent among the big name fashion houses that tailoring is making a comeback, after years of neglect and falling to the wayside as the hoodie and tracksuit gained prominence. At Prada, the suits were technical and boxy sans shirt - ergo the sexy factor. Aside from those business customer-friendly garments, there were plenty of smart looking outerwear to whet the appetite while the main course were the graphic knits and shirts in bold prints, with many sporting a heart with a thunderbolt over it. As for footwear, the ugly shoe trend that, arguably, started at Prada and spread throughout the industry, continues. If history is any indicator, then this collection will reverberate throughout the entire men's sector and will result in more and more designers re-thinking the suit for the modern man.
