RUNWAY: Marni SS19

Marni's modus operandi has always been showcasing quirky and imperfect clothes in a way that's both appealing and endearing. That continues into this Spring/Summer 2019 collection which tackled body image - a heavy topic for sure in today's social media world where everyone puts their best face and body forward and hiding all their imperfections as best as possible. Not here, though, the imperfect shapes of the clothes and of the models themselves were celebrated in a rakish fashion to create appealing and charming layers of oversized clothes that draped the body in engaging ways.
