RUNWAY: David Hart SS18

David Hart's latest collection was inspired by Cuba, a country that for the decade had been out of touch for most Americans and due to recent events continues to be. It's then appropriate that this collection felt like a glimpse of Cuba from the lens of an outsider looking in. Many of the pieces were rooted in the 1950s with geometric patterns seen throughout while Cuban hats fit in perfectly, as did some tropical prints like a banana shirt. Hart's forte is his superb tailoring skills and this is evident in this collection by offering  relaxed cuts to fit with current trends without compromising the sleek silhouette the designer is known for.
