RUNWAY: Band of Outsiders SS17

Band of Outsiders returns to the runway after a tumultuous bankruptcy and subsequent sale of the brand to a new owner, without its founder. No other look encompassed the feel of the collection more than a bomber with "B" on side and a big question mark on the other. Who is this Band of Outsiders? They're still preppy, aiming to encapsulate the unique viewpoint of its founder and the downtown-kid look he helped cultivate, but falling a bit short. In all, it was a valiant effort but felt off somehow, like the distressed and oversized collegiate sweater.
