RUNWAY: Roberto Cavalli FW16
At
Roberto Cavalli's FW16 show, there were exotic skins, fur, and a myriad of silk shirts. Did we mention it was a men's collection? For
Peter Dundas' debut men's runway collection for Cavalli, the designer went all out and paid homage to the man whose name is on the tag. Adding a bohemian take and a kitschy take on denim gave the collection a youthful vibe while still adhering to the codes of the house: glam and luxury. Suiting was laid back, paired with an open shirt or a silken scarf, oversized, of course. The story here was with the great outerwear: exotic skins, fur coats, velvets and a few, more modest pieces for the not-as-adventurous man. This collection is sure to make the label's new parent company, Clessidra quite happen.
