RUNWAY: Calvin Klein Collection FW16
Italo Zucchelli's mastery with fabrics and design sometimes leaves the audience of his
Calvin Klein Collection shows feeling flat. It's not that the clothes are not exclusive, fancy or luxe, but with rigid confines like minimalism that the label is known for, it's hard to add
oomph. That was the case at his FW16 show, the clothes looked quite plain: white tee's, jean jackets, distressed denim, and coats. Underneath though, the structure of the tee's, the technical fabrics that were bonded with cotton to create the denim and the metal foil that was used to line the coats were the story but when you're all buttoned up, it's hard to see what makes these clothes so special, it all ends up just being a nice coat. And that could be enough for some.
