RUNWAY: Etro SS16
Etro is known for their patterns, paisley to be exact, and there were plenty of cool patterns to be seen at their SS16 runway show. However, the story here was all about multiculturalism and the world being a little smaller, thanks to planes, trains, and social media. The textural fabrics gave the collection a lot of depth, whether futuristic like a collarless top coat in a shiny plaid or classic Etro like utilizing jacquard in a suit. While most of the European houses are offering languid layers, Etro's prim and streamlined silhouettes stood out for its relative austerity. The designer,
Kean Etro, knows what his customers want and it's to look put together with strong, masculine tailoring.
