RUNWAY: Calvin Klein Collection SS16
Americana never looked so clean cut and chic as it did at
Italo Zucchelli's latest runway show for
Calvin Klein Collection. A myriad of technical fabrics helped build up the already muscled and toned models to create streamlined silhouettes, wide on top and slimmer on the bottom. Here, Zucchelli also reworked an American classic, something the namesake creator of the label he designs for helped bring into the public domain: stonewashed denim; there were denim jeans and jackets that looked modern and not even slightly stuck in the 80s. The designer's ability to bring fresh and modern ideas to something from decades past is quite a feat.
