RUNWAY: Kanye West x Adidas SS15

Kanye West's first capsule collection for Adidas debuted on the first day of NYFW and the result was jarring in its dystopic aesthetic and awkward bodysuits. However, some of the pieces were quite in line with the biggest trends in menswear from the emphasis on athleticwear as the starting point, shown by the joggers, cinched at the cuff or with a button closure, to some pretty great outerwear, like a muddy anorak. Meanwhile, deconstructed knits, complete with holes and raw edges, echoed the dystopian vision that West posited. A collection with Adidas would not be complete with a series of trainers that are sure to fly off the shelves, at least more so than the sheer bodysuits.
