RUNWAY: Wooyoungmi FW14
South Korean designer
Woo Youngmi created yet another super chic collection of well tailored suits and separates for FW14. She utilized felt, like many other designers did this season, and showcased its versatility, either one a plaid patterned coat or as an accent fabric on a suit jacket. Her use of rounded panels underneath a suit jacket or coat was smart and added a great style note. What little pattern was used was maximized to great effect, such as windowpane pants paired with a knit that featured a weave design. Woo Youngmi's biggest strength is her ability to create sharp and youthful suiting, even if the pants this season rivaled Thom Browne in their length, or lack thereof.
