RUNWAY: Prada FW14
Not a tie was to be seen at
Prada's jazzy Fall/Winter 2014 runway show today in Milan. Flouncy layers made for a soft, romantic look while edgy prints and interesting use of furs made this collection quintessentially Prada. The "ugly is beautiful" mantra that the house's
Miuccia Prada propagates is alive and well in this co-ed collection. The staging was also interesting, as if the models were some sort of rock stars or actors on a stage and with spotlights, elevated podiums, and pitted seating for guests. There was also a live orchestra to help set the melancholy mood. Accessories were aplenty, from incredible and covetable shoes to a few men's bags, as well as a plethora of womens bags from the Pre-Fall 2014 collection.
