RUNWAY: Lanvin FW14
Lucas Ossendrijver and
Alber Elbaz took a look at the 1980s for
Lanvin's Fall/Winter 2014 collection. Boxy suitings were worn by punk-y models seemed straight from the 80s while the slouchy and youthful tailoring synonymous with Lanvin was seen on oversized utilitarian coats, take for example an eggplant color overcoat with rounded shoulders and skinny lapels. As for the overarching trend of sport meets luxury, there was plenty of it here, seen in a white, one-button suit paired with pink trainers or a pinstriped suit with electric blue sneakers and colorful patterns on the sweater. The collection had an strong Saint Laurent feel to it with long flowy scarves and a punk vibe on skinny models with shaved heads but with Ossendrijver and Elbaz at the helm, this collection was 100% Lanvin.
