RUNWAY: Jil Sander FW14

For those not in the know, they would never have guessed that Jil Sander (the woman who founded the label) left the house for a third time in late 2013, citing personal reasons. The atelier worked on the FW14 collection and it was as if Sander had never left. The team created a cohesive collection that was in line with the codes of the house. Minimal and sleek lines were en mode while texture played a key role in the collection, from diamond shaped quilts to chunky knits. A few pairs of paneled iridescent pants captured the audience's eye as something new and unexpected, a bold move even if Sander were still in control.
