RUNWAY: Bottega Veneta FW14
Tomas Maier's utilitarian collection for
Bottega Veneta was precious in its relaxed feel. Subtle patterns were littered throughout the collection like in a plaid trenchcoat, but for the majority of the collection, it was all about solid colors, from the beginning's somber greys and blacks to new effusive hues like hunter green or mustard yellow before reverting to a finale of chic grey looks. Knits were a triumph here, but the simple but covetable outerwear was the star of the show, leather, wool and cashmere upped the show's excitement as fresh-faced models strutted down the runway in some of fashion's most luxe materials.
