RUNWAY: Timo Weiland FW13
It was high time that
Timo Weiland separated his mens and womens collections. For years, Weiland has opted to show both collections in one cohesive runway show. That might be a bit more expedient but one, or both, of the collections usually suffers from a lack of identity. Showing one runway show means that both lines have to be linear and tell the same story. However, mens and womenswear hardly ever line up so it was smart that for FW13, Weiland showed a separate mens collection that had its own identity. Beautiful tailoring and a strong print story emerged, as well as great hexagonal stitching and quilting.
