RUNWAY: Perry Ellis by Duckie Brown FW13
Steven Silver and Daniel Cox, the designers behind Duckie Brown, showed their second collaboration with famed American retailer Perry Ellis today. At a sharp contrast to last season, the Fall/Winter 2013 collection had strong military influences, from the tailoring to the prints and patterns utilized. Much like the Duckie Brown line, this collaborative collection features quirky details to jazz up the Perry Ellis man's wardrobe; whether it's sleek and tailored drop crotch pants or demure paisley patterns. We were especially smitten by the finale's jungle and camouflage patterns that were chic in their modesty and tone. In all, the collection comes together in a cohesive and slightly-off-kilter way that comes off as charming rather than odd or peculiar.
