RUNWAY: Billy Reid FW1

Alabama-native Billy Reid continues to impress with the balancing act he performs every season. He melds an urban sensibility with the country style that skyrocketed his name to the upper echelons of New York fashion. For FW13, he was inspired by trees and the colors they exhibit from moss to deep rustic reds and browns. Rather than showing a litany of looks that include staples like dress shirts, Reid opted instead for polar opposites. Either it was formal, like an dinner jacket, or all casual wear, like a waxed leather jacket with a turtle neck. In all, it was another strong collection from the scion of city rustic style.
