RUNWAY: John Varvatos FW13

For his Fall/Winter 2013 collection, John Varvatos ditched the wide trousers and boxy silhouette he favored in previous collections. He streamlined the silhouette and focused on texture to enhance and beautify his designs. Rich fabrications added an extra depth, like in a crushed velvet outfit worn by Mathias Bergh, or added some texture by way of thick knit gloves with tailored separates. In all, it was a dark and romantic fairytale.
