RUNWAY: Frankie Morello FW13
Though the Italian label
Frankie Morello tends to be more gimmick-y than others during Milan Fashion Week, we were pleasantly surprised with their version of a subdued, even demure, collection. For the duo, it was practically minimalists! Tailoring was brought back to the forefront and it was one of the reasons the collection felt like such a hit. We especially liked the use of herringbone to accent some of the starker outfits. As for the outerwear, we were smitten with the one
Alexandre Cunha wore in a hunter green; the black coats with geometric stitching was also quite fetching. In all, it was a well made and cohesive collection that felt naturally modern.
