RUNWAY: Simon Spurr FW12
It's no secret that British-born designer
Simon Spurr knows how to tailor a suit. It's also no surprise that suits were heavily featured in Spurr's Fall/Winter 2012 collection from the suit that opened the show to the one that closed it, Spurr offered different iterations of his specialty. Between those two looks were well tailored casual-wear for the dapper gentleman from sleek Chesterfields to a crocodile sleeved jacket. One of the most interesting pieces of the collection was a wool caftan-esque piece worn by
Fernando Cabral. For prints, Spurr offered fat stripes and exaggerated houndstooth, which were juxtaposed with the slim and form-fitting suits the patterns were on.
