RUNWAY: Michael Kors FW12

Michael Kors seems to be having a wonderful start to 2012. His fashion house is now a publicly traded company and the American designer recently got married to his long-time partner. His exuberance can be easily felt in his Fall/Winter 2012 collection. Bright and colorful patterns, in plaid and tartan, were seen, as were luxurious fabrics in fur and cashmere, as well as feathers. The go-to designer for the rich and fabulous jet-setters looked to nature as part of his inspiration for FW12, that could be evidenced by the wooden runway but also seen in the wonderful textures seen on the wool pieces, like the woven knit Victor Nylander wears.
