RUNWAY: Yohji Yamamoto FW12

A interesting cast of characters accompanied the interesting clothes that famed Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto created for his eponymous line's Fall/Winter 2012 collection. The collection melded mid-19th Century garb with peculiar details like a convertible overcoat, half vests and plenty of capes. Though we're quite particular to the capes we've seen this season (such as at Mugler and Dolce&Gabbana) but at Yamamoto, they seemed to bog down the collection with an unnecessary layer.
