RUNWAY: Trussardi FW12
Trussardi's new creative director
Umit Benan took us on a time traveling trip back to the 1970s, porn-tasches and all. After SS12's ill planned presentation and show, Trussardi staged their FW12 show at their flagship boutique in Milan once again and the result was a bit less chaotic. Models were done up in true 70s fashion with wide lapels, flaring trousers and gradient glasses. Models also carried larger-than-life bags that seemed to be fit for the likes of
Mary Poppins. In all, Umit showed a collection that hit on a small trend in Milan: the 1970s and did it in a fun and irrelevant way that he does best.
