RUNWAY: Paul Smith FW12

Sir Paul Smith added a touch of panache to his Fall/Winter 2012 collection by injecting some neon into the collection, like a block of neon on a black overcoat or a neon shirt over a tattered jumper. That touch of color added a bit of eccentricity to the mostly-somber collection that included a lot of black and blue colorblocking. We're very particular to that color combination so we were pleased but for a collection that's usually quite Rock n' Roll and full of color, stripes mostly, we were a bit disappointed at the lack of Smith's signature stripes. But the proportions, fit and tailoring were top notch so there were definitely highlights.
