RUNWAY: Issey Miyake FW12

Pleats played a big role in Japanese high-street brand Issey Miyake's Fall/Winter 2012 collection. First looks offered cropped pleated pants paired with jewel-toned ribbed tops with diagonal seams. Throughout the collection, there was plenty of color to be seen; colors  in various hues and finishes, as well as varying saturation. The highlight, however, were the three-dimensional pyramid coats that were sleek and ultra modern, even if they reminded us of Gareth Pugh's FW09 collection.
