RUNWAY: Tim Coppens SS12

Tim Coppens showed his second collection in New York yesterday and becomes another designer who has worked for Ralph Lauren but eventually started his own label and has bees buzzing all around; Michael Bastian and Thom Browne are other notable designer who followed this same route. For Tim Coppens, originally from Belgium, he worked for Ralph Lauren's RLX line, Lauren's sportiest and most athletically minded line.

Knowing all this, it is no surprising that Tim Coppens' collection features very sporty looks with very technologically advanced fabrications. It was a good (maybe we'll even venture to say great) collection that mixed his three years of experience at RLX with his tutelage at the prestigious Fashion Academy of Antwerp. We especially love all the paneling we saw in the collection.
