RUNWAY: VRom SS12

Another religious themed collection, this time it is VRom: full of patchwork pieces (Joseph and his tunic) and "bloodied" models (Jesus Christ), as well as hints of shiny gold material (gold, frankincense and myrrh). The theme was quite literal and hit you like a ton of bricks, no pun intended. But beyond the gimmick and exaggerated styling, the collection was pleasant, if not a less sophisticated version of Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy, which showed a similarly themed collection a few seasons ago.
