RUNWAY: Joao Pimenta SS12

In a country that's so devout in their faith, Joao Pimenta took that theme and amplified it a thousand times with his Spring/Summer 2012 collection. Most of the pieces were were on opposite spectrums of fit, from extremely wide and flowy to the opposite: a body hugging bodysuit. The collection had a regal feel to it as well, maybe it was the shiny fabrics that reminded us of period-piece movies about nobility and the hardships.
